Contemptorary is an arts writing website covering the practices of women and queer people of color and their navigation of the art world. Our focus is to address the racial dynamics of museum collections, biennales, exhibitions and art practices. In our writing, we refuse _birds eye accounts of events, rather we position ourselves as co-conspirators for racial justice within arts and museum spaces. We see our arts writing as journalistic gatecrashing: demanding fundamental change towards racial justice in the museum and arts spheres.
